OpenClinical a set of resources and portal for those interested in advanced knowledge management methods, technologies and applications in healthcare. An experiment in publishing and disseminating interactive clinical applications. aims to carry out a systematic study of publishing enactable clinical knowledge.

Computational modelling and symbolic simulation.
COGENT focuses on new techniques and methods for cognitive modelling. COGENT is a tool for building executable cognitive models using a graphical environment interfaced to a symbolic modelling language. A collaboration between the Imperial Cancer Research Fund (now Cancer Research UK) and Birkbeck College, London; supported by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (1996-2001).

A technology for assisting in the creation and enactment of complex care plans. Applications are under development, initially for the management of breast cancer. Supported by Cancer Research UK (phase I) and the ESRC and EPSRC PACCIT programme - People at the centre of communications and information technology) (phase II : 2001-2003).
